This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

I can't remember that we have seen this behavior. But if GDPS configures CPs during initialization, I like to control it with an option.
FIS/Worldpay agrees. We do not have GDPS in our Development environment. If we did, we would not want PUs brought online if CBU is active. Thus, an option to enable/disable is desirable.
It is a good idea with more options regarding this.
Good idea, low priority for us as well.
If PUs were automatically configured online when CBU is active, we would like to have the possibility to suppress it. But we are not sure if there is an automatically "config on" process.
Last weekend, we did a site switch with enabling CBU and IPLing systems on the other site on CECs with activated CBU, and there were not all CPs online.
Not a high priority for us, but a useful idea
Additional options are always a good idea, so when you have time.
Good idea but low priority
