Multi session access Netview and Portal/GUI

With today we've activated the GDPS GUI and PORTAL to our 4 production sysplexes.

Currently, users can connect to the GUI, but they can't be simultaneously connected to Netview via 3270 and vice versa.

Enabling multi-session access would allow users to work on different tasks simultaneously and improve overall productivity.

The seuggestion of have two different user-ids is not applicable to our enviroments.

Cheers,

Paolo

After giving the request a comprehensive review, we have determined that we cannot include it as a candidate in an upcoming release because it is not consistent with the product architecture and our strategy for future releases. This is not technically possible because it would mean that the same user ID has two active sessions on the same NetView and NetView doesn't support this. While the requirement states that two separate userids can't be used in their IT shop, two userids can be used to accomplish this.
