Progress Feedback for GDPS Script Verification

Currently, when a GDPS script is initiated, there is no feedback provided to the initiator during verification, leading to uncertainty about whether the process is underway. This lack of feedback can cause confusion and unnecessary actions by operators.

Proposed Enhancement:

Implement a feature that provides real-time progress feedback to the initiator during the verification process when a GDPS script is kicked off. This feedback could include a progress bar, status messages, or any other indication that the script is being processed.

Benefits:

Reduces confusion and anxiety among operators.

Prevents unnecessary key presses and potential errors.

Enhances user confidence in the system's responsiveness.

Additional Information:

This enhancement request is based on observations where the screen appears to hang for 30-45 seconds during script execution, with no indication of progress.

Would be useful for our operations staff - low priority

My opinion is that SDF provides enough progress information. Some steps take long and I understand there isn't much GDPS can do about it (e.g. system or system group STOP as an example). In MGM, the procedure steps already provide a good amount of details within the steps, so while I agree things can always be improved, I believe it is a low priority.

We use SDF to see the steps but if a statement takes al long time it will help to see if it is still active/running.

We use SDF but this is good especially if it auto refreshes and provides messages on progress.

Worldpay agrees with this idea, although medium priority seems fair.

Although we use the System Automation Status Display Facility to monitor Script progress, this is still a good idea.

This is a great idea, I would also like it promoted in the REST API or in some of the new chatbot features coming (SMU, zChatOps, etc.)
