This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Not applicable to our configuration, but we support the idea.
We have the same requirement too. Thresholds are too high now to avoid risk of loosing captures/recovery possibilities.
It make sense to have lower value to allow time to respond to expansion action. It will be even better if there will be automatic expansion if threshold is reached.
LBG: We support this idea.
It helps, but having thresholds for SGC copies do not look to make much sense. It may happen to have other shops with different strategy, bu we carve the SGC disks with multipliers to contain 100% of each disk in the configuration, and there are only dozens of them actually with a high update rate. Most of them shows low or very low update rate. If we are not missing any technical limitation, since DS8k is using ESE (21GB) and thin provisioning, it could consider some more flexible space management for SGC.
This would be helpful to American Express as well. We are using Storage insights today, but would be nice to have the thresholds alert at lower capacities.
n/a
This is a reasonable request to us as well (wfc), we currently have to use storage insights to accomplish this alert.
JPMC would like this very much
Seems like a reasonable request, not a priority for 5/3
