    We understand that switching the GM target from the primary to the secondary in the d/r site will require an additional journal copy on the secondary in the d/r site. However, the benefit of allowing the GM session to continue in the event of the failure of the primary at the d/r site is very large. In addition, we do have an identified risk in that the IODF in the d/r site for the primary can't be fully tested with the existing technology. Performing a GM target switch to the secondary would allow us to IPL off of the primary at the d/r site and validate the configuration should a d/r event happen.
