Option CONTROLLINGSYSTEM for NO_DASD env.

Since GDPS V4R1 with the new NO_DASD GDPSMODE it's recommended to set the GEOPLEX option CONTROLLINGSYSTEM to '1'. If no KSYS is defined you have to define a Dummy system.
This is not user-friendly because the user see always that (Dummy)-system in the Standard Action panel with the Status NOGDPS.

We think this is confusing the users that are not familiar with the GDPS customization.

After giving the request a comprehensive review, we have determined that we cannot include it as a candidate in an upcoming release because it won?t be pursued within our planning cycle.

We use the feature, so I can see the use case, but having to define a dummy system is an easy thing, and has never caused confusion in our environment. Would use it, but low priority.

Medium priority for us. We have systems that don't have a KSYS so setting to zero would allow us not to set a dummy entry.

we needed that function as we started to build a new sysplex.
Building the new plex we didn't start with a fully configured DASDCONFIG on the K-sys systems but operating wanted to manage the systems we built like on all other plexes with gdps (start/stop/act etc.).
This was not possible without the dasd config.

The use case for this environments (NO_DASD and NO KSYS) are the managing the panels of Standard Actions and sysplex resource management.
In a NO_DASD environment it makes no sense to have a KSYS.

What is the use case (e.g., manage Standard Actions from a production system w/o the need for the k-sys)?
