GDPS should automatically clean up from destructive repair operations on storage devices

We recently had a "B" box outage that required support to utilize the CST process that removes all in memory structures including copy services. This created orphaned secondary pairs in our GDPS Metro Global session. Currently within GDPS we can only recover from this situation by the device. We would like GDPS to allow recovery of the secondary devices in the Global Mirror session similar to the way the Metro Mirror sessions can be recovered by the LSS. Ideally this recovery would be done automatically and wouldn't require intervention on our part.

    After giving the request a comprehensive review, we have determined that we cannot include it as a candidate in an upcoming release because it won?t be pursued within our planning cycle.

    GDPS should implement LSS-level capabilities for all functions that have device-level capabilities.
