Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

  3. Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

NetView E/AS improve logging and integrate in CANZLOG

NetView E/AS should provide more information about what is done with a processed event. This information as well as all E/AS messages should be available via the CANZLOG and eligible for automation.
This way we would be able track the sending of an EIF event from the source (NetView REXX, message via the automation table, SA z/OS alert point, etc.) to the target server.
It would enable us to proove that we have the best alerting concept on the market.
The currently "Best Alerting" and the existing gaps have been presented at EOTC 2017 in Boeblingen. The presentation is attached.
