This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

With the IF-THEN statement we often process messages that are intercepted by NetView Automation. To evaluate the message, there are several condition items available. However, if a specific task that has been started several times under the same jobname, ASID is required for identification for further processing. But the ASID is not available as a condition item.
It would be very helpful for us if the ASID could be used as a condition item in the future.

Hi Pamela, in the meantime, we have also come up with the idea of using ACQUIRE and IFRAUWAS. However, we realized that the documentation could be better. It is not clear at which offset IFRAUWAS can be found in the AIFR. Perhaps this could be documented more clearly.
Hi Dirk, Have you looked at using ACQUIRE in the automation table using IFRAUWAS, which provides the ASID? If not, will that satisfy your requirement? Please be aware that the field is binary.
