Hello Pam,
1. For now I would like to be able to issue SNMPv3 commands from the AON panels. I did not consider having the SNMPv3 information being part of a policy that could be retrieved for the SNMPv3 commands. NetMaster for TCPIP does allow you to "store" the SNMPv3 information.
2. We already use Netview's packet trace capability. Some of our team use NetMaster for TCPIP but I have been working on getting them to utilize the one in NetView.
3. Part of my to do list is to utilize more of Netview's ability for IP interface discovery. I have been tasked with determining if we could do away with NetMaster for TCPIP and have its functions handled by Netview. I guess some time before I got to Mastercard they did turn on all of Netview's IP monitoring features and Netview ate up quite a significant amount of CPU. They have not tried it again since. Unfortunately it is low on my priority list but I work on it when I can.
Thanks.
