dls should list all dataset types (including VSAM) by default (not just non-VSAM/GDGs) along with including the VSAM dataset type when using -T

dls should list all dataset types (including VSAM) by default (not just non-VSAM/GDGs) along with including the VSAM dataset type when using -T

dls xxxxxxxx.**

dls will only list all VSAM datasets using the -t option, but the dls man page does not specify the VSAM types of CLUSTER, AIX, PATH for it.

dls -t CLUSTER -t AIX -t PATH xxxxxxxx.**

vls should list all VSAM dataset types by default including AIX, PATH (there is no -t option).

vls xxxxxxxx.**

The vls man page says “vls - List VSAM datasets that match a pattern.”, but it lists all non-VSAM datasets/GDGs…wasn’t expecting that.

Using vls is confusing and seems to be the only “v” prefixed command for VSAM datasets.

dls could replace vls.
