Enhancements to dtouch for VSAM datasets

It’s important for dtouch (for VSAM) to support the most common IDCAMS parameters as dataset allocation is foundational.

  • be able to specify LRECL (RECORDSIZE) average and maximum

  • be able to specify SHR options (the default is 1,3)

  • provide support for type ZFS (ZFS specifies that the cluster being defined is for linear data, and the linear data set is a Unix System Services zFS file system. All restrictions and conditions applicable to linear data sets apply to ZFS CLUSTERs. The value of SHAREOPTIONS is set to (3,3).

  • remove support for HFS (per the doc, HFS data sets are not strategic and support for them is planned for removal)

  • add RRDS to the list of dataset types in the “help”
