RELATED IDEAS

Reopen data sets after restart

Local files are reopened after restarting Eclipse automatically, remote z/OS file aren't. Please add an option to have also the last z/OS Data sets / members opened, that were open upon shutdown.

    It shows all remote resources that are opened in an editor, whether for modification or just browse/view. Regarding opening the files, it is not likely that this will be implemented in the next 12-24 months and so it is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months? time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.

    I think this goes into a good direction but it would be much better to just open the files.


    And: This also only shows last edited files, not read-only/viewed, I guess?

    Hi, there is a Remote Edit History view, which can be used to see when and which remote files were most recently edited. Would this help with your scenario?

    The source of this request comes from IDz usage, but I guess this is a z/OS Explorer feature...
