IBM Z Software

This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

  3. Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

IRemoteErrorFeedback.performErrorfeedback()

To fill the RemoteErrorList from a custom plugin you have to use the IRemoteErrorFeedback interface and the performErrorfeedback Method. Up to that point it is part of the RDz API.

Unfortunately there is no implementation of the interface provided and no description how it could happen. Please provide the necessary information or an example or (that would be best) an implementation of the interface to be used by the customer.

From Dennis Behm (IBM) I know that there is an implementation in com.ibm.ftt.services.impl.errorfeedback.RemoteErrorFeedbackImpl() since version 9.5.1 but this implementation is not free to use. There is an access restriction. An easy solution to this RFE would be to make this implementation accessible.

I got a suggestion of an implementation from Dennis (See attached file). It is working but it would be a lot better if it is a implementation officially provided by IBM. I assume it is from the class with the access restriction.

    As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each RFE. The offering team has carefully reviewed this RFE and has decided that it does not fit into our current plans within the next 1-2 years, so the RFE will be closed. The request will be kept in RFE system and might be reassessed or reopened for additional feedback or voting in the future. We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us the privilege of partnering with you in developing our products.

    I am very interested in this enhancement, while it is demanded by a huge number of customers.

    Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us. Your request is currently inline with our product strategy and we have planned it for a future release of the product. Thank you for your suggestion and continued support.
