IDz users should be able to use the special characters for their strong passwords ($@#.<+!&]*-%_>?:=).

Users can work in Belgium (one team) or in France (another team). The 3270 emulator is set to a code page 1148 or 1147 respectively.

The IDz Eclipse GUI seems to assume or retrieve the default zOS code page IBM-037. There is no option to tell it to use a different code page globally so that the logon converts the characters as the 3270 emulator does when the user changes his password.

In IDz Aqua / zOS Explorer / RDz, the customer notes see that at logon the host code page seems to be IBM-037. This because the characters '!' and ']' in a password are rejected but work if the characters are replaced by respectively '|' and '!'.

The connection property "code page" does not have any effect on the password code page.

Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us. However, your request for enhancement is not currently aligned with our product strategy and vision and we have no plans to address your request in the near future. Again, thank you for your suggestion and continued support.
