Provide code to allow customers to send events to applications via REST API

This would provide a fully supported way for customers using IBM Z System Automation to interface with applications running on z/OS, or other platforms using REST. This would avoid the need for customers to create their own bespoke scripts.

It should be lightweight, robust, highly available and be able to handle event storms.

Customers should have the option to cache events that are not successfully sent due to the target application being unavailable and replay these once a successful event has been sent.

The interface should operator in a similar way to E/AS does today.

The code should integrate with existing INGALERT code.

Thanks for this idea. Could you please give some more details about the scenario(s) in which you want to use this feature? What application you are encisioning to send events to? We have added the SA Info Broker in last release to send events to Kafka and have the ability to subscribe to a Kafka topic with other applications. Is this helpful? Do you want the ability to contact another REST API only for sending events (By doing POST calls) or also in order to GET information from other APIs - what is more important?
