RELATED IDEAS

Logrec / EREP recovery process needs to be reworked

System Automation provides a means to recover logrec via the following 4 message:

IFB040I SYS1.LOGREC AREA IS FULL, hh.mm.ss
IFB060E SYS1.LOGREC NEAR FULL
IFB080E LOGREC DATA SET NEAR FULL, DSN=dsname
IFB081I LOGREC DATA SET IS FULL,hh.mm.ss, DSN=dsn


Unfortunately it will only perform this once unless message IFC001I is produced and this message is only produced if the ERDS is re-initialized but that is not recommended by the Z/OS LOGREC folks as part of normal recovery.
