Ing305I should be issued for any invoked shutdown

Currently if there is a GDPS controlled image when a shutdown has been invoked message ING305I is issued.

This seems to be in line with the ING313I, Ing314i and Ing315I messages.

I am a bit confused on why the ING305I could not be used, I am assuming it would require a GDPS change to ensure it is a GDPS controlled system, which I am hoping they are doing anyway.

Your suggestion on providing another message would suffice I was just suggesting a message that currently makes sense regardless of a GDPS shutdown or not.

I guess a Doc apar maybe coming then to update the ING305I to indicate it is only used for GDPS controlled systems.

ING305I is a special message informing about GDPS or operator triggered shutdown of STOPAPPL. The message can't be used in normal SYG shutdown. We could add some new message reporting initiation of SYG shutdown, this can be helpful for monitoring and analyzing IPL performance is this something that helps in you scenario?
