may I get back to you for asking questions? We had a discussison on this RFE yesterday and I'd like to know if the following proposal would fit your needs.
We do have AOFRCASF which is currently called during SA startup to clean status file records.
The logic today is:
1. delete all records with type other than SUBSYSTEM, MINRES, APPLGROUP ,MONITOR, AGENT or CONTROL
2. records of type AGENT or CONTROL remain untouched
3. for records of type MINRES and not MVSESA.MVSDUMP, ....
- step up the escalation chain and try to find thresholds
- if not found delete record
4. for all others delete record if major resource is not in policy
We could implement the RFE in the following manner:
1. delete all records with type other than SUBSYSTEM, MINRES, APPLGROUP ,MONITOR, AGENT or CONTROL
2. records of type AGENT or CONTROL remain untouched
3. for records of type MINRES and not MVSESA.MVSDUMP, ....
- step up the escalation chain and try to find thresholds
- if no threshold found OR (major resource is category CICS/IMS AND CGlobal AOF.AAO.CLEANUP.ASF.cat is set AND last error ts older than value of this global) delete record
4. for all others delete record if major resource is not in policy
AOF.AAO.CLEANUP.ASF.cat could specify number of days for instance.
This would clean up the ASF on every SA startup.
We could also externalize AOFRCASF to be run from the command line, the policy or a timer ....
