FFor Host Defined Profile scans, pull configuration information such as the contents of CKACUST and CKACUSTV members and resources provided by assertions into zSCC so it can be viewed in GUI.

For host defined profiles the configuration information used to perform the scan only reside on the mainframe. In the zSCC GUI auditors and other users of the tool do not have a complete picture of the inputs provided to produce the scan results. For example, control RACF-ES-000380 relies on sensitivity type SMFdmp_bkp_ being updated with a list of dataset masks that cover SMF datasets. If the zSCC users can’t see the inputs provided, they have no way to verify whether all the required dataset masks were included. The same thing applies for the CKACUST datasets which include allowlists and started task names.

Users would have the flexibility to configure the Host-defiend profiles from GUI and not have to toggle between ISPF and GUI going forward.
