Need to establish a Permit Creation Date

We are attempting to cleanup the RACF DB of permissions that are inactive. Leaving permissions in place that are not in use can be a security risk.

Access Monitor via option AM.8.2 appears to cleanup inactive / unused permissions however there is a shortcoming in the tool.

Permissions that have been used in the past you can successfully removed by deciding the length of time the permission can be inactive before deleting it.

However permissions that have never been used, you have no frame of reference on how old is the permission. The tool seems to use the profile creation date which is not sufficient. The profile could have been defined years ago, but the permission could have been granted yesterday.
