Provide Size/Number of Bytes of Encrypted vs NonEncrypted Data

I am working with a Federal Client in the US assisting in their encryption project. Early on we were looking for a mechanism to track progress of encryption. They wanted to see both the number of files encrypted vs files yet to encrypt, but also, they wanted to track the number of bytes encrypted. For this client the bytes are into the multiple of Petabytes. Based upon both counts it would be easy to strategize and prioritize which applications to target first and impacts on various peripheral issues. For example, which pools of storage would need to be enlarged and when based upon targeted encryption strategy timelines. This client requires as much as possible ‘canned’ or ‘out-of-the-box’ functionality. They didn’t want to support customized CARLa unless absolutely necessary.
