In addition to open idea ZWS-I-230 besides removing the TEMPORARY operand of parameter SSCMNAME, it would be better to remove parameters BUILDSSX and SSCMNAME and just use SETSSI commands

We are continuing to have a lot of serious issues resulting from the use of the BUILDSSX and SSCMNAME parameters to make changes to the subsystems for zWS controllers and trackers, for example recent HIPER APARs  PH59155 and PH59387.   The BUILDSSX and SSCMNAME parameters were useful prior to z/OS 2.2 as there was no command to DELETE a subsystem (only to ADD one).  However z/OS 2.2 added the SETSSI DELETE,FORCE command and APAR PI49668  (SPE 9301) back in 2015 made it possible to use the SETSSI DELETE command with zWS.    The same thing as SETSSI DELETE,FORCE  and SETSSI ADD can be accomplished by using the BUILDSSX command and the SSCMNAME parameter with the PERMANENT operand, however this involves adding a STEPLIB to the SEQQLMD0 library for the tracker or controller (EVEN if this library is already in LINKLIST), making parameter changes to add the BUILDSSX and SSCMNAME parameters and after ONE startup, making ANOTHER change to remove the parameters AND  remove the STEPLIB.

If you just stop the tracker or controller and issue SETSSI DELETE,FORCE and SETSSI ADD commands, no modifications are needed for the tracker or controller JCL or parameters.

Hi Steve, after discussing the requirement with dev and L3 we decided to leave things as they are, with the intent to avoid losing events.
