Currently, when a job fails, application teams receive an SMS notification containing only the job name and return code. To determine the exact point of failure and provide recovery instructions to operators, they must log in to the Mainframe to identify the failed step.
By enhancing the system to include JOB STEPNAME, PROC STEP, and Return Code information from IWS to the ticketing system, application teams can provide precise rerun instructions without accessing the Mainframe. This improvement would be particularly beneficial during non-office hours and overnight incidents, enabling faster response times and more efficient problem resolution.
This fearure is Job strep and proc step with return code is available in competitor products this helps to restart the Job when there is a known failure like FTP failures , sjip a record etc
