This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Yes, you might revise the idea to imbed an url link such that user could click the link to access DWC to access the joblog. However, I still think that email attachment would be a direct way to facilitate user during problem trouble shooting due to the follow reasons.
1) email and DWC would be 2 different levels in security concerns. User might have email access in general (in office or in home via VPN) but no access to DWC. DWC is, in fact, TWS console mainly used by operation.
2) The delay for user to access DWC might be longer than the excess time to generate the email attachment. Furthermore, the email attachment might be in zip format with the help of zEDC which could reduce the impact of side effects.
3) To further increase the flexibility of email attachment, could allow user limit the email attachment contents by FILTER(...) HEADER(...) ATTACHJOBLOG(sysout_class). If sysout_class subparameter is specified, only joblog sysout with matched class would be attached in the email.
It's a very interesting idea but it could have a side effect (performance, delay, storage). An alternative solution might be to add in the e-mail the link to the DWC page to retrieve the joblog. Let us know if this could be accepted from your side.
