OCL statements converted to WAPL

This must be an issue concerning all IWS/z customers

We write because we have been told that support/updates/enhancements on OCL will no longer be available as of version 10.2 of IWS/Z.
This means that we are now looking into converting our use of OCL-statements into WAPL- statements.

We have been going through WAPL manuals in order to achieve this but there are some OCL-statements where converting to WAPL seems like a setback.
As an example we have the EXCLPRE (EPRE) option when deleting predecessors via OCL, like below statement running in a batchjob

 DELPRED APPL(APPL1) IA(%OYMD1.%OHHMM) OPNO(001),
EPRE(PREAPPL1)

We have been looking into this

Can it really be right that the way to do this in WAPL is

  1. Listing all the predecessors for an operation
  2. Run REXX on the output of the LIST to create relevant DROPPRED statements

or is there something we are missing?

It seems like overkill that we have to code REXX to get the right statements

In addition the OCL command CHKDATE seems to be in a similar situation
