CICS Request Exit to provide client IP address

CICS Request Exit getCICSServer() method is provided with a map containing meta-data related to the application request. However, it does not contain IP address of the originating client machine.

Make program and transaction available to the CICS Request Exit for XA transactions

For ECI requests within XA transactions, Program name and Tranid are not available to the CICS Request Exit within the supplied request meta data request. They are available under non-XA transactions.

CTG for z/OS: file mode setting

It appears that all output files which are created by the CTG z/OS V9.0 and put into HFS(zFS) got the permission bits '666' (rw-rw-rw-). This can be checked for the ctg trace file or healthcenter output or logs from support pacs (e.g. CH0A or CH51).

ECI_TIMEOUT default value for IPIC connections

Migrating from EXCI to IPIC protocol requires the changing of application code to add ECI_TIMEOUT value because the default with IPIC is 'no_limit', whereas EXCI used the Gateway-wide DFHXCOPT value.
