Currently, when setting up users and groups in Application Discovery Configuration Server Admin page, the administrators are going
through a time consuming process of setting up users and groups manually. The users need to be added via an import file or
individually. Adding users to groups is even more time consuming that each user need to be added either using an import file or
clicking on the checkbox in the full user list.
We would like to request for the following features:
1. Active directory integration for IBM AD config server admin users and groups setup
2. Source files permission provisioning using active directory groups or user ids
Detailed description:
We would like to have a feature where it is possible to connect IBM AD Config Server Admin to the company active directory. It
should be possible to setup active directory groups and then configure IBM AD config to connect to active directory and import
users from these groups. There should also be generic groups like Administrators as well.
Another feature which is required is the restriction of access to various physical source files on the AD server disk. Currently,
we give read access to everyone for all source files across different projects. This is a concern since the source files can still
be browsed using network file path even if the access is restricted at project level in AD config server. AD should automatically
restrict file permissions on the respective source folders either using active directory groups or user ids.
