Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us. We feel this is a valid requirement but delivery within the RFE 2 year window is not likely. We will be focusing on higher priority RFEs from TD Bank during this period and putting this one in the parking lot in the meantime. Please resubmit in 12-18 months for reconsideration if still valid. Again, thank you for your suggestion and continued support.
We would like some additional information to help with the assessment of this requirement.
Currently there are a number of available features of AD analysis starting from JCL:
- job flow - shows graphically all steps (inside the job and inside the executed procedure)
- job callgraph - displays executed programs in jcl and for every program display the 'program callgraph'
- job inventory - lists all datasets used by a jcl, all executed programs and all executed procedures
- dataset usage in jobs - where DD cards are displayed under dataset, job and step information.
- There are also Pgm Usage in Job, Procedures Usage in Job and some reports:Job Flow Report and Job vs Datasets report.
If these existing features do not cover this requirement, please provide additional details. For example, where specifically you would like to see procs and control cards in existing or new analysis?
