This requirement has been addressed by IBM Application Discovery for IBM Z.
Agent Setup :
This is not the agent's setting in fact. It's on the PC side (build configuration or other). This involves having a setting on the server so that the agent can link the types of components, it will search for on the mainframe with the project directories created in order to automatically load the components into the right directories.
Recovery :
Source recovery on the mainframe in the "download" sense
We believe that a number of the areas of this requirement are already addressed, however we do have questions about "Agent Setup" and "Recovery and storage of sources". See below.
-Creation of the project - included in 5.1.0.3
-Agent Setup - more info is needed (on the PC side or Mainframe side?).
-Launch agent for source recovery - part of the "Synchronize Mainframe Members" feature (automated already)
-Inventory of sources by the agent - part of the "Synchronize Mainframe Members" feature
-Classification of sources by the agent according to the type - part of the "Synchronize Mainframe Members" feature
-Recovery and storage of sources
- for Recovery: -by 'Recovery' do you mean 'Update'? If so, it's automated already.
- for storage of sources: -part of the "Synchronize Mainframe Members" feature
-Build and check the project with a report:
- for Build: - included in 5.1.0.3.
- for Check: - open issue (Maybe the already existing "Missing components report" from the AD Analysis is sufficient.).
A preliminary evaluation of this request indicates that it is consistent with our business strategy. Further evaluation of this RFE is underway.
