WebServices support in AD

RFE opened on behalf of BNNP

BNPP would like to load information describing z/OS Webservices in the AD datamodel. BNPP would like to perform queries (graphs and reports) integrated with other standard AD data. The WebServices that should be fully supported in AD should be technologies like z/OS Connect, IMS Connect, CICS Transaction Gateway and CICS WebServices. Graphs and reports should natively show the usage of WebServices in programs and applications in the AD Analyze Client.

Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us. We feel this is a valid requirement but delivery within the RFE 2 year window is not likely. Please resubmit in 12-18 months for reconsideration if still valid. Again, thank you for your suggestion and continued support.

    Replying to the previous comment.
Yes BNPP is looking for a way to understand how Java applications on distributed are calling z/OS applications through programs and transactions. The idea would be to have an end-to-end understanding of the flow of data from Java applications to Mainframe applications.

We'd like to make sure that we understand correctly the use case. Are you looking for analysis from Java to the mainframe, with the ability to understand Java applications and make the connection between APIs called in Java and mainframe programs and transactions being invoked ?
