This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

This has not been requested by any other CICS CM customer so we are not planning to address this at this time.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - Enterprise Tooling
Product - CICS Configuration Manager
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Enterprise Tooling
Product - CICS Configuration Manager
A system administrator will create an export configuration via the ISPF interface.
Application developers and/or administrators copy resource definitions into the Export configuration. The customer's directive is to use new graphical interfaces as part of their standard work processes, including the CICS CM plug-in to the CICS Explorer. The goal is to use the CICS CM plug-in to copy resource definitions into the Export Configuration.
One all the resources are copied into the Export Configuration, the Export file will be FTP'd to its target environment
The problem with this scenario is that the end users can not copy resources into the Export configuration because the CICS CM Explorer plug-in does not recognize the Export Configuration Type. The way the plug-in works, the customer is forced to use the ISPF interface to copy recourses into an Export configuration. This defeats the purpose of providing a modern graphical interface for managing resource definitions.
This is a major gap in usability for the CICS CM Explorer interface.
Please provide use case scenarios of how you would use these Export files from the CICS CM plug-in.
