We have assessed this requirement. We have no current plans for this to be implemented and so this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

This would be a nice function to have. We at present have no plans for such a function and more importantly we do not know how this could be achieved.

1/ For the more complex case where the problem was seen, was it a single SQL request that was taking a long time in DB2 to complete and returning a lot of data, or was it the application issuing a large number of SQL requests?
    Client Answer:
It can be a multiple of circumstancesa.
    a) Single SQL running a long time
    b) Single SQL returning large volume of data via IP socket
The problem one we noted was b)

2/ Is the application involved defined as threadsafe ?
    Client Answer:
    Yes

3/ Please describe the symptoms of when the whole lpar was affected. Was this affecting other CICS systems ?
    Client Answer:
Just a CPU drain causing slow response in other CICS with similar dispatch priority. TSO and Batch much delayed as lower dispatch. Significant delay for application that is blocked due to DB2 locks on data.
