CICS INITPARM

We can use EXEC CICS ASSIG INITPARM to get the value for a specific program. This value can only be changed by recycling the CICS region. We need a functionalty to dynamically change INITPARM paramters while CICS is up and running.

    Allowing the setting of INITPARM is not something we plan to do. It was invented to allow parameters to be sent to PLT programs, hence its name. The same function could be achieved by using a temporary storage queue. Or perhaps in the future we could have a variant of a container that has the scope of a region. This would be more strategic. If you wish to pursue this, we suggest a new RFE is raised asking for region containers.
