Ability to Manage Yielding Loops

When a task goes into a yielding loop (e.g., an endless loop where the only EXEC CICS statement is a VSAM read of the same record, which is in a buffer after the first read), there needs to be some mechanism for purging it and/or notifying someone (e.g., a console message). As it is now, tasks will line up behind the one in a yielding loop and can soon cause CICS to go short on storage before it
is manually detected and addressed.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For the specific use case of a Application program EXEC CICS READ's from a VSAM file a user can define a "file request" policy to limit the number of read requests to a specific threshold and abend task is threshold exceeded. This is available in CICS TS 5.1

For the general case of any EXEC CICS command the user could define a "elapsed time" policy to catch a yielding loop and abend task if that threshold is exceeded. This is available in CICS TS 5.2
