CECI transaction ability to view SET storage.

The CECI transaction is useless, in general, for those CICS commands which do not provide an INTO(data-area) option, but only a SET(ptr-ref) option.

For example, currently, there is no way within CECI to display
the storage at the address returned in the SET pointer-reference ...

COLLECT STATISTICS CONNECTION(CD1P)
STATUS: COMMAND EXECUTION COMPLETE
EXEC CICS COLlect STATIstics
SEt( X'1AA36C18' )

Moreover, there are limitations with the approach of displaying
the SET pointer storage via another transaction ...

1. First, once CECI terminates, the SET pointer storage is freed
and available for reuse. So, you'd need to keep conversational
CECI active, and view the storage from a 2nd terminal, assuming
that conversational CECI hasn't already freed the SET pointer
storage (which is an open question).

2. Second, if transaction isolation is active, then the SET pointer
storage cannot be viewed at all from a 2nd terminal, for example,
via the IBM Debug Tool DTST transaction ISOLATE(YES) vs. CECI ISOLATE(YES).

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

This requirement has been re-evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in eighteen months time if you wish it to be considered then.
