Explorer perspectives/plug ins need to fully support all interfaces

If CICS Explorer is going to be the strategic direction for managing CICS, then it must fully support all capabilities of the various 'other' management tools.
For example, today even with Explorer 5.1 it is not possible from the SM Administration perspective to "ASSIGN" a CICSPLEX to another CMAS. One must use the WUI for fhat function. Also, the plug in for Configuration Manager (again 5.1) does not support any of the administrative functions such as defining a new configuration or setting CM server options. The only functions available via the CM plug in are those associated with creating and working with packages. I can't speak to the other plug ins for PA, DA, IA, etc. because I've not used them but it would not surprise me to find that they too have deficiencies.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

This requirement is satisfied by CICS TS 5.2 which is generally available from June 13th 2014.

The CICS TS 5.2 Explorer supports the assign command.

A separate RFE should be raised on CICS CM for functionality required on the CICS CM Explorer plugin.
