Add new functionality to CICS Explorer so that I can see which dump dataset is the active one and if its open or not. I want to know if the auto switch is set also.

We have this already in CICS Explorer. From the Regions view, if you double click on a region to bring up the CICS Region editor, all the attrubutes are listed. Grouped under the Dump section is:

    CURRENTDDS(A, B) - Current dump dataset
DDSOSTAT(OPEN, CLOSED) - Dump dataset open status
DDSSSTAT(SWITCHNEXT, NOSWITCH) - Dump dataset switch status
    INITIALDDS(A, B, X) - Initial dump dataset
SDMPSUPP - Number of system dumps supressed
SDMPTOTL - Number of system dumps taken
SYSDUMP(SYSDUMP, NOSYSDUMP) - System dump status
