Limit the size of AIDs chain for Transid

This is a evolution of RFE 98067, in which the customer asked to be able to set a limitation
for new starts of transactions when the number of AIDs in a CICS region reached to this limit.
Today, however, the customer has "evolved" this issue further and said that what would really
meet your need would be, in addition to the described above, to be able to set this limit for
a specific transaction or a group of transactions. For example, they would like to be able to
limit new starts of a transaction named ABCD or transactions named AB* or ABC+ (with wildcard
characters).

    Omegamon via apar OA54980 (PTF UA95610) together with fixpack1 provide the ability vuia situations to monitor the number of AIDs per termind.

    CICS has no plans to provide monitoring of AIDs on a per transaction basis as this would involve an unacceptable performance overhead to the running system.

    CICS TS 5.5 will provide the ability to cancel AIDS for a CICS region and provides a policy to limit the number of AIDs for a CICS region.

    We have assessed this requirement. We have no current plans for this to be implemented and so this requirement is being declined at this point. CICS TS 5.5 will provide the ability to cancel AIDS for a CICS region and provides a policy to limit the number of AIDs for a CICS region. We do not plan to provide AID limiting capability at the transaction level.
