CPSM API: A new query function to identify available CMAS's

The CPSM API should support a new query function that could be called prior to any CONNECT operation. This query would scan and locate all active ESSS's on the local LPAR via the z/OS subsystem chain, extracting from each ESSS information about all active CMAS's and returning this information to the caller. The information returned would include the CMAS name, the CICS/TS version/release, and any other identifying information that might be easily obtained from the ESSS that the API routine could use in choosing a CMAS for a subsequent CONNECT operation.

    This requirement has been evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be considered then.
