Reduction of CLSS CPU consumption and offload of CLSS cycles onto a zIIP

We migrated to CLSS a year and a half ago and have been experiencing errors and timeouts during peak periods, especially for our customers who use CLSS with robotic scripts. After talking with the IBM CLSS team, we found that CLSS consumes four times more CPU resources than its predecessors and that the current version of CLSS (3.1) does not offload any of its cycles to zIIP. We have agreed to share this idea and we would be grateful for your support.

    Development continues to work on ways to improve performance. Offloading of CL/SS cycles onto a zIIP processor is not consistent with our design plans for CL/SuperSession. While we appreciate the Idea request, this is not something we will be able to undertake.
