Submenu/Folder

It would be very useful to add functions that allows us to group menu entries, without using SSPL programming, to build a menu like this:

Main Menu

- TSO
- CICS
- Omegamon
- System Automation
- etc

We select TSO and another menu will appear, in example:

TSO Menu

- TSO1
- TSO2
- TSO3…

It would be very useful too, to be able to modify the description in each entry of the submenu and not to lose functionalities such as the jump between sessions and the triggers, in fact it would be very desirable that it behaved like the main menu. Thanks a lot.

There is built into CL/SuperSession a submenu interface. At this time we currently have no plans to expand the submenu interface.

The Submenu filter is communicated by setting the runtime variable KLSOPTSL to a comma-delimited list of Session IDs. For example, a value of ?TSO,CICS? will group any session name containing the string TSO or CICS onto separate menu lists. Other sessions will be displayed normally. Managing this list can be accomplished by updating the startup clist, typically RLSCMDS(KLSSTART).

Add a call to the KLSSOPTS runtime option management dialog like this:
    NTD KLSSOPTS 'KLSOPTSL IMS,CICS,TSO'
This option can be toggled at runtime using the MVS modify command:
/f taskname, NTD KLSSOPTS 'KLSOPTSL IMS,CICS,TSO'
