Make available additional source code information, used at compilation, in load module

We'd request that the location of the source code that was used during program compilation be made discoverable or available within the load module. For our purposes this would extend to COBOL, C/C++, PL/I, Assembler, Java.

Our product team is requesting this enhancement in an effort to better support our DevOps, Cloud Native/Hybrid Cloud, and shift-left testing initiatives. Improve source-level diagnostics would allow us to further strengthen our BYO-IDE, and Continuous Integration objectives. Including this source code location (name, and location) would allow different personas to asynchronously conduct performance analysis and tuning in a DevOps pipeline.

Additionally, providing this level of information would be a competitive advantage as our product would be the only product on the market to claim day one support of this new feature/integration.

Info is already available in the DWARF information. So submitter will try to use that and is willing to close this RFE.

Could the use of the "SERVICE" compilation option, introduced by a CBL card at the start of the source, meet the need by structuring the value associated with it?

Being also involved in a process of modernizing our COBOL development workshop, the compilations are triggered by a robot (Jenkins), however we would like to keep track of the user who modified the source, (GIT commit), and even the timestamp of the source modification (which is different from the timestamp of the compilation). We would also like to trace the name of the GIT Repository used, (not necessarily the path inside the GIT Repository.

Hi, can IBM UrbanCode Deploy be used for this request? In talks directly with the RFE submitter.
