Enterprise Cobol V6+ - >>NOP for >>EVALUATE directive

In addition to our RFE 145885, we suggest the provision of a directive that does no action to be associated with a >>WHEN condition in a >>EVALUATE directive.

It could be a >>NOP or >>CONTINUE directive.

It is sometimes easier to exclude cases where no action should be taken than to test all cases where an action should be taken.

Unless I misunderstand the request, does not a WHEN <condition> CONTINUE already do this?

In fact, the current implementation of >>evaluate allows the "nop" since a >>when without a Cobol instruction corresponds to this case (since 2 >>when following one another does not constitute an OR).

This is a valid RFE, but is low priority and won't be implemented in the near future. As a result, we will be rejecting this item for now. If the number of votes significantly increase, then we may re-consider this RFE. Thank you for the submission.
