Cobol V5 - Mixture kind of interest in RULES(NOLAXPERF)

Option RULES(NOLAXPERF) concerns both about writing Cobol source and compilation options used.

In a "industrial" building process (compilation, build process), compilation procedures can not be controlled by the developer, and inform him warnings about the use of poor performance options that can be a business choice, (NOAWO, NOBLOCK0, NOFASTSRT, NUMPROC(NOPFD), OPT(0), SSRANGE, TRUNC(STD|BIN)), can be disturbing (the developer can not intervene) and against productive (such warnings make it less visible warnings on Cobol source).

It would seem preferable to separate the two aspects or to dismiss the analysis of compiler options the option RULES(NOLAXPERF).

    Hi,

While reviewing our backlog, this feature has not received many votes to get into plan. As a result, we won't be implementing this RFE.

    Thanks.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Programming Languages
    Product - COBOL Compilers

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Rational
Product family - Design & development
    Product - COBOL Compilers
