Additional SuperC returncode for changed data compare

Batch invocation of SuperC (ISRSUPC) currently gives two "normal" completion return codes, 0 for "No differences" and "1" for "Differences found".

A third "normal" completion return code of 2 would be advantageous for those cases where there are no differences, but this fact is caused by use of certain SuperC process statements.

This RFE is one of a small group which had apparently been set aside incorrectly years ago and subsequently overlooked. We are sorry for the delay.

SuperC only performs the comparison after applying the process statements to the input records, so it has no way at present to know that the differences have been hidden by the process statements. This request would therefore require two sets of comparisons, possibly with completely different results because of different input lines being matched. We are therefore unable to accept this request.

The requested function could presumably be approximated by running SuperC with and without the process statements against the same data then comparing the results.

Regards, Jonathan Scott, HLASM and Toolkit
