This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

REJECTing the RFE.
HOD already supports this kind of functional requirement.
refer to previous comments.
This RFE will be closed in 4 weeks. If you have a strong requirement of this feature, please revert.
This request lacks sufficient information for us to evaluate it. It might not be considered further until it has been revised and clarified. Any update to this, please?
Based on the requirement it looks like you are looking for domain based login which is already supported by HOD.
Please check on this and let us know. https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSS9FA_13.0.0/com.ibm.hod.doc/doc/install/install.html#wq68
HOD already has support for end users automatically logging on using their Windows user name. Per the product help: "Users must be logged on to a Windows domain to use this option. The Host On-Demand logon panel will not be displayed and the Windows username will be used as the Host On-Demand user ID. Users are from Windows domain. Users must be from this Windows domain or they will be denied access to Host On-Demand. You can specify multiple domains by listing all the domains separated by commas."
Is the above the type of single sign on that is being requested? If so, we can close this request. If not, please clarify further.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - Enterprise Tooling
Product - Host On Demand
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - Rational
Product family - Enterprise Tools
Product - Host On Demand
A preliminary evaluation of this request indicates that it is consistent with our business strategy. Further evaluation of this RFE is underway.
