We are looking to automate our mainframe testing. We are using the RSE API to enable automatic submission of jobs. With jobs adding hourglass options is trivial with the correct dd names, but with CICS we only have the BMS panels with HGCC and HGUC transactions. These options require manual setup or automation using 'screen scraping' solutions and are basically unsuitable to use for an automated testing approach. We are requesting a solution, either with a REST API, batch interface or perhaps an option to specify the panel options as parameters to the transaction so that we can automate the setup. For example HGCC 5 to enable and HGCC 6 to disable hourglass. That way we could utilize the modify option like with the HGCB transaction.
