Right Quick Fix or right annotation using Real-time Syntax Checking for REMARKS paragraph

In very old Cobol programs migrated to SDP with REMARKS paragraph in IDENTIFICATION DIVISION:

  1. A warning icon with a light bulb icon are displayed on the REMARKS paragraph. A Quick Fix is available when the cursor is placed over “REMARKS” but IDZ proposes a Quick Fix Change to “AUTHOR” instead of Change to “*REMARKS”

  2. For some other programs a warning icon is displayed on a line before the REMARKS paragraph. And the message" “COPY” expected after this token" is displayed when the cursor is placed on the warning icon.

IDZ could have proposed a right Quick Fix to return the REMARKS paragraph as a comment or the real-time syntax checking should provide right annotation that describes the error.

This would benefit other users as well.

    IBM L2 verified that REMARKS paragraph is behaving like any other non keyword or unrecognized piece of text. Since REMARKS was once a valid keyword it may be useful to have this keyword marked as obsolete with an appropriate alternative given as a suggestion. Right now it behaves as any other non recognized text.
