User Build - Automatically upload additional dependent files when changed

For VS Code it is possible to define additionalDependencies necessary to execute an User Build in  zapp.yaml. The defined files / directories are uploaded to the z/OS-workspace while running "Setup for IBM User Build". Generally the user build configuration in the directory "application-conf" of the local workspace is configured as additionalDependency.
So this works similar to manually selecting application-conf on configuring the user build in IDz.

BUT: If changes are made to the build configuration, the developer has to think of updating the z/OS-workspace by running the setup-function again (VSC)/ manually selecting the files again (IDz). If he forgets to do that, the build fails or does not reflect the current configuration.

To avoid such errors, it would be useful to have a monitoring of files / directories which are defined as additionalDependency. For this there would be a need of configuring them in a way like in the zapp.yaml. This was already suggested here: https://ideas.ibm.com/ideas/DBB-I-24
If a change since the last build is detected, such files should be uploaded automatically to the z/OS workspace. This function would be comparable to the handling of local dependencies of a source file. Maybe it makes sense to have this function configurable.

Thank you for taking the time to suggest an Idea to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us. Your request is currently in line with our product strategy and we added it as a candidate for future releases of the product. Thank you for your suggestion and continued support.
